maZoë Book Club is nearing its first year of books read. How exciting! We should have a cyber party or something. Book clubs are awesome for so many different reasons. One of them being: reading something you might not have chosen otherwise, and I’ve been richer for it. It’s been great to share the adventure with my fellow clubbers.
We’ve read quite an assortment of books and have had quite the discussion. The 2012 adventures we’ve had:
Heartless by Anne Elisabeth Stengl
Firebird by Kathy Tyers
I am Ocilla by Diane M. Graham
Dragonflight by Anne McCaffrey
The Earth Painter by Melissa Lee
Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Vern
Remnant in the Stars by Cindy Koepp
A Princess of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs
Prophet by R. J. Larson
Curse Bearer by Rebecca P. Minor
Wool by Hugh Howey
I wonder what 2013 will bring… If you’re interested in learning more about maZoë book club, you can find information here. Are you interested in joining us, you can find us here.
What books have you read this year? Which ones have been your favorite?
I read quite a few (had to check my Goodreads list). In the YA category, my favorites were the Gone series by Michael Grant, and A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness.
Hi Ken! Thanks for stopping by and sharing. Gone has an interesting premise. A Monster Calls definitely sounds gripping, maybe horror? I’m not into horror, but the back cover blurb sounds so intriguing, I might just have to check it out.
It’s not horror in the conventional sense, but very well done. definitely worth checking it out.
