Cake Decorating Take 2

So last Friday, I shared my attempts at cake decorating and promised to show you all the Cajón cake that I would be working on that weekend. Drum roll please!

For those of you, who weren’t sure what a Cajón looks like, here is the picture I was working from:

Have a great weekend!

Updated: Here is the Cajón in action. Featuring my husband’s old singing group, Zambian Vocal Group, Keith Mullins and Keona at Dollywood. Good times!

I totally forgot to cross the “t” in birthday!

Even with the picture, I’m still not sure what a Cajón is, though the cake looks great! 🙂

      🙂 Thanks!

It is a percussion instrument. The name means box and it is basically a wooden box. The person sits on top of it and bangs/slaps/pounds/hits/taps the surface and creates a rhythm. According to Wiki, it is originally from Peru, but when I first learned about it, the guy had learned/picked it up in Cuba. Its cool. I’ll see if I can find the youtube video of my husband’s old group singing with it and post it.
