A Writer’s Theme Song

When it comes to my writing, Keep Holding On by Avril Lavigne has been my theme song for the past several years. It’s also the theme song for Eragon. 🙂 If you haven’t heard the song, you can find it here, on YouTube.

What’s your theme song? Have a great weekend!

Just subscribed to your blog (and thanks for the follow on mine). I’m perusing through your archives and I came across this one because of the date. On this exact day I was at a writers conference and things weren’t going great (I’m actually prepping the blog for that little adventure). While I have several “theme” songs for my writing, the one that pushed me through the conference was actually PSY’s Gangnam Style. I know, I know…silly Korean viral video, but somehow it reminded me to just cut loose, relax and have a good time. And that is what writing is to me. So since then it has kinda become my “unofficial” theme song.

    Weird huh? 🙂

Wow, that’s weird that the dates of the post and conference coincide. I will have to keep an eye for your blog post. I had to go look up that song. Interesting, nice beat. I liked the sound. I thought it interesting what PSY says about the song:

People who are actually from Gangnam never proclaim that they are—it’s only the posers and wannabes that put on these airs and say that they are “Gangnam Style” — so this song is actually poking fun at those kinds of people who are trying so hard to be something that they’re not.

That really spoke to me. So many of us try to be who we are not. My journey has brought me to a place where I’m breaking free and finding my voice. I love it.

thanks for sharing and for subscribing!
